Divestment
Withdraw investments from Israel and companies that contribute to Israel’s occupation and violations of Palestinian rights.

Most Danish pension funds invest in companies with activities in illegal Israeli settlements.
According to ActionAid Denmark (Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke), these investments amount to 6.3 billion kroner.
Many people’s pension savings help sustain the illegal settlements, and this is something we must in no way accept.
Three pension funds...
- Pædagogernes Pension (PBU)
- Akademiker Pension
- Lærernes Pension
...divested all of their investments in companies involved in the settlements in 2025.
Other pension funds have divested individual investments, while most have maintained or increased their investments. In total this amounts to divestment of 1.5 billion kroner in 2025.
The divestment campaign calls on...
- pension funds
- banks
- municipalities
- regions
- ATP
- trade unions
- universities, and others
...to withdraw their investments from Israel and from all Israeli or international companies that contribute to sustaining the occupation and oppression of the Palestinian people.
Divestment campaigns must run over a long period of time in order to have an effect.
How can you contribute?
Make clear demands and feel free to arrange a meeting with your bank or pension fund about it. Some pension funds may have ethical guidelines for their investments, and that should also be used in the campaign.
Make use of member democracy and show up at the general meeting together with others who are working towards the same goal.
